“My first tattoo was a moth that I got for my 18th birthday, I got a semi matching one with my mom because we are very close and thought it would be a nice bonding experience because my mom has a lot of tattoos and I’ve always admired her.

I’ve always had a love and interest in tattoos, I think they are a good way to immortalise the things you love like your interests or sentimental/remembrance of love ones. I also just think they are cool.

I like tattoos that are movie related because I’m a big fan of movies so I usually get scenes or quotes, I also have a lot of flowers as I like that each flower has a meaning, emotions, and sentiments that you couldn’t say out loud.

I heard about Melissa (@melissaviolettattoo) through a work mate of mine and I was looking for a tattoo artist as I have plans of getting a lot, so when I saw her page I thought her tattoos were amazing and her style was right up my alley. I also saw that they healed really nicely because I’ve seen certain tattoos that have been done and look good straight after but not healed, hers always healed perfectly.

I get a lot of “omg I love your tattoos” or questions about why, where or the reasoning behind them. I’ve had a few “why would you do that to yourself” but I always ignore them 😂

Ermm in regards to visible tattoos, I plan on getting some on my hands once I finish my arms and have been considering my neck if it ties in nicely with the rest. I probably won’t get any on my face as I just don’t think that’s an area I would want doing or would suit me”
