This is the first customer profile from Sacred Heart Tattoo Stafford and @melmadetattoos

This is the first in a series of client profiles we have been building for the past month here at Sacred Heart Tattoo. My first tattoo was when I was 18 and it was a cross on the back of my neck. I got it just to see what it was like getting a tattoo! There was no real thought or reason behind it 🤭.

I didn't have another tattoo until 10 years later when I met @melmadetattoos.

I continue to get them because I like adding to the collection and seeing works of art everyday of things I love. I feel like the more you get, the more there feels like there is empty space 😆 Not only this, getting tattoos by @melmadetattoos is such a fun experience. We have endless laughs, singing, jokes and fun (although not so much fun when she gets the big needles out 😂)

I made the decision from the start to only have black work done. I decided this because I feel like I wanted them all to work well together no matter what I have. They are all individual tattoos so anything can be added around and it fits the theme. The majority of them are japanese/anime/floral/game themed. I get tattoos which express my personality and showcase all the things I enjoy.

Melly (@melmadetattoos) was recommended to me. I took a look at some of her work and felt like she fit the vibe I was looking for. What I didn't realise was how easily we would click and get on with each other. It's no question for me, I will continue coming to Mel, she made me feel relaxed and comfortable from the start. Nothing is a problem and sometimes she gives you ice-lollies too 🤭

I Always receive positive feedback on my tattoos! Sometimes people don't realise I have any so they always find it interesting. They are such a conversation starter, especially if someone recognises a niche character! Everyone i know has a different favourite too which I enjoy.

I always get tattoos with the mindset that I can cover them if i wish too. I like that I can show them if I want too or look like I don't have any at all! It is not in my plan to get a face/neck/hand tattoo, but never say never!

I love all of my tattoos! Some have a story attached to them, some are the favourites of others, some look really cool like my hello kitty gundam, some were terribly painful so I feel like they should get credit 😂 If i have to pick one (technically two), it would be my right wrist. I have 'treasure' written in my grandad's handwriting as he always used to call me his little treasure. This sits underneath a memorial tattoo I got for my sister on the day it would have been her 30th birthday. It's a skeleton with Holly leaves branching out of it for her birth flower.

They are not necessarily my favourite due to the sentimental value (most of mine don't have a meaning behind them, I just get them because I love them) but it's because Mel (@melmadetattoos) made the difficult days easier. The placement of them means I see them all the time and I feel like my loved ones are with me. I'm all for getting a tattoo just because you love it not because it has to have a a meaning behind it. Life is too short, do everything you wish that makes you happy!
